As I AM: Re-Release Update (3/30/22)

Updated: Mar 31, 2022

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Some of you may have noticed that AS I AM: THE LIFE AND TIMES OF DJ AM disappeared from every distribution platform in May of 2020, an unfortunate and unexpected development during the early stages of the pandemic.

I'm elated to report there's been a change in management, and the fate of the film is now solely in the hands of director Kevin Kerslake, who recently signed a global distribution deal with trusted industry vets Abramorama.

UPDATE: March 30th, 2022

After a difficult winter marked byhard drive failures and capped by the tragic loss of the director's mother, the worldwide release date of the Extended DIrector’s Cut has been pushed to the summer. We thank you for your understanding during a difficult time.

As disappointing as this news may be, we can say that the extended release is shaping up to include an exhaustive collection of bonus features consisting of new and never-before-seen interviews, film outtakes, filmmaker commentary,, extended interviews with key figures in the film centered around AS I AM's many themes (e.g., DJ culture, sneakerheads, addiction & recovery, early rave culture, the teen rehab industry, objectified body consciousness, PTSD and suicide prevention), a collection of memes, blasts & memorabiia that were part of the film's initial release and two longform origin stories: DJ AM/the Artist and Adam Goldstein/the Addict. And yes, there will be some new DJ AM merch!

Today, we are launching a brand new film website at www.thedjamdoc.com where you can purchase the original version of As I AM: The Life & Times of DJ AM. In addition, we are offering a pre-order of our "All Access Pass" at an early bird discounted price. The As I AM bonus features will come out over time (not all at once), but the "All Access Pass" will give you access to the entire vault of As I AM bonus features (as well as the upcoming Extended Director's Cut) as they are released! This price will go up as we get closer to the re-release date so I'd encourage you to lock-in the current early bird pricing now if you are interested.
